Valentine’s Day Dinner pt 3

As the couples finished their meals catered by Sonesta Gwinnet Place and the Muna Coterie Valentine’s Day dinner began coming to an end, the couples continued to talk and laugh with each other over a glass of wine.  Mr. McClenton continued to serenade them on the flute and Daniella shared with the group how she met the love of her life. Daniella met Michael on Tinder, a popular dating app. Although she was “anti-online dating,” she felt it would be a good way to meet new people. After being matched, Daniella and Michael chatted for a couple of weeks before meeting in person. On their first date Michael took her out for a fun night of dinner and dancing on River Street in Savannah, Ga, which led to their loving relationship. When they began looking for rings, Daniella’s mom recommended that they reset her engagement ring. So she gave Michael the engagement ring to “hold” which he put on a necklace that he wore daily. Surprisingly, Michael lost the ring one weekend, and couldn’t find it. Daniella stated she was “livid and cried because of the sentimental value.” Little did she know, Michael had found the ring and had a big surprise for her. While […]

Race Car Theme Birthday Party

My youngest nephew turned two last fall and celebrated in style with a race car theme birthday party. His little party was held during lunch hour at his school where his mom also teaches. Black and white checkered balloons, wallpaper and candles decorated the place, while a bright red tablecloth with table runner that looks like a race track set the tone. What racing themed party would be complete without a cake shaped like a race car and two little candles on it to signify this milestone.  The two miles per hour speed limit sign was also a clever touch. Of course my little nephew didn’t seem aware that he was the center of this big to do. But he was definitely happy to eat cake & play with race cars. His classmates also welcomed the change in routine. I don’t remember if any music was playing but there was lots of dancing, running and jumping going on.

Happy New Year 2016

2015 was my 10th year in business. Although I never did an anniversary celebration, every time I picked up my camera and walked out the door to a wedding, portrait session, birthday party, maternity or newborn shoot, it was a celebration of patience, perseverance and triumph. I’m grateful to all of the clients that have let me into the most intimate moments of their lives and trusted me with their most treasured moments. I smile on the inside every time I think of how a legacy is being established or preserved. I smile at the fact that someone, not even born yet, will be witnessing these moments through my photographs. So I want to say a heartfelt thanks to my family, friends and clients for supporting me all these years. I look forward to an awesome 2016 and can’t wait to photograph even more of you wonderful people. Happy New Year 2016!

Cover Shoot for Atlanta Parent Magazine

Last month, I photographed Atlanta Parents double spread showcasing all of their finalist for the Cover Kids Photo Contest. It’s always an honor to have your work featured in a magazine. This month I am excited to have my first cover shoot photo featured on Atlanta Parent Magazine. In Aug, I photographed Izzy Rice, the 2014 winner of the cover kids contest for the October issue.   We had a great time photographing fall & Halloween themed portraits for this months issue. She is such a sweet girl and we had fun with her showing us all of her different scary faces. Below are some of the highlights from the entire cover shoot.

Adamma & Adanne Sweet Sixteen Party

Adamma & Adanne celebrated their 16th birthday in style (think MTV My Super Sweet Sixteen) by cruising along Stone Mountain lake on the Henry Grady Riverboat. They arrived in style wearing traditional Nigerian clothes then later changed and spent the night dancing away.
